The Training Coordination Unit offers reliable and timely technical and administrative research and consultancy support to research scientists associated with KUHeS and its affiliates. The unit provides research training, mentorship, and consultancy services. Our training programs are tailored to suit specific needs, while others are scheduled based on RSC’s training calendar.
All courses are well-organized with a well-structured curriculum that is periodically reviewed to incorporate any changes occurring in the field. The unit aims to expand the range of courses yearly, offering more opportunities for individuals to enhance their skills and knowledge. The majority of our program facilitators are typically faculty members who are affiliated with us, although occasionally we may bring in outside consultants.
Our training programs have a duration ranging from a single day to five days, depending on the course and its contents. Our pricing structure is flexible, with charges ranging from $100 to $400 to suit your budget. The unit coordinates monthly research seminars for researchers to disseminate their work to students, faculty, and the general public. Furthermore, the unit offers an array of translation and transcription services in Chichewa, English, Yawo, and Sena. Additionally, the unit collaborates with the Director’s, and Marketing and Communications offices to identify funding opportunities for academics and research affiliates.
The training coordination unit also provides facilitation and support activities in strategic plan development for departments with KUHeS and its affiliates.
